IBA ARICA CHILE BODYBOARDING CHALLENGE 2012

Well folks, its that time of the year again. The Arica challenge bodyboarding contest is one of the best stops on the IBA tour. Super consistant waves with tons of power pound the reefs around this area. It always ends up a great contest with some of the biggest bodyboarding moves going down.

IBA ARICA CHILE BODYBOARDING CONTEST

New NMD PARABOLIC PFS BODYBOARDS Arrive next BODYBOARD HQ

We have just had word that the new delevery of 2012 NMD, VS & TOYS Bodyboards arrive next week. Boy, are we excited!

In the shipment will be the new NMD Dave Winchester and Ben Player parabolic PFS core boards. Our team rider Eldred Hawke had the pleasure of test riding the Winchester 41 PFS core but found it a bit too stiff with the 1.9 PCF EPP core so the new delivery will be a Beaded PP (Usually a bit stiffer than extruded PP) but with a core of only a 1.4 PCF density. The idea is to give a little bit more flex to the board in colder, cooler waters. This combination should give a bit more performance too.

There will be opertunities to test ride the Parabolic boards too so watch this space on how we plan to do this.

There will be some other great boards across all the ranges so even if your budget doesn’t stretch to the parabolic boards then there will be something here that will be perfect for you.

We also have many 2011 boards now at reduced sale prices that are damn near exactly the same build and performance as some of the 2012 models so don’t be afraid to ask if you want to save some hard earned cash.

PRONE bodyboarding clothing are back – woohoo!

At last we are hearing that Prone are back on the case designing some new clothing for those who bodyboard.
Steve Berriman, the man behind Prone has been taking some time out and tending to his “real job” but clearly the passion for the sponge is still burning.
We have known Steve since his university days in Exeter and we are super stoked that he is getting it together again producing a new range. He is a top guy who has a lot of friends in the sport.
Prone have a had some classic designs, infact i’m wearing one right now! Lets hope that this years will be the best yet.
